The 2009 Christmas Dinner was held at Nectar Social House in Dartmouth in early December. The emphasis, as always, was on fellowship, food and good conversation.
Usually the turn out for the Christmas Dinner is strong, but this year only 16 members and guests attended. This was good news for those in attendance as the highlight of the evening was presenting swag from Targa Newfoundland - generously donated by Scott Giannou - as there was almost enough to go around. Porsche reports that its US sales figures rose slightly in January 2010. With 1,786 vehicles sold, January deliveries to customers in North America were eight percent above last year’s figures.
The 2010 Daytona 24-hour race concluded with a victory for Porsche. Victory went to a Riley prototype fitted with an independently developed V8 engine based on the Porsche Cayenne.
